​> CyberGIS Software Integration for Sustained Geospatial Integration

​The CyberGIS project is establishing a fundamentally new software framework comprising a seamless integration of cyberinfrastructure, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and spatial analysis/modeling capabilities. The geospatial community uses a variety of different datasets, some of which are potentially sensitive, leading to cybersecurity challenges around confidentiality and privacy. Trusted CI is collaborating with CyberGIS to address these challenges. The combination of CyberGIS’ domain expertise in GIS together with Trusted CI’s cybersecurity expertise will allow us to understand the GIS community’s cybersecurity needs, evaluate the options available to address those needs, and ultimately develop a cybersecurity plan to address the challenges.
