Globus began as a software project in the late 1990s to enable grid computing and has evolved to become a cloud-based service for data management with a focus on scientific research. Researchers at universities, national labs, and other institutions use Globus to transfer large amounts of data between endpoints. Globus and CTSC conducted an engagement in which CTSC performed a security assessment of a relatively new feature of Globus that let users easily share their data.
The security assessment can be found at http://hdl.handle.net/2022/19165
