Spring 2015 - Fall 2015

The mission of the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) is to gather environmental data across the continent in order to forecast environmental changes that will affect North America. In addition, NEON is committed to making its data available to the public for further research. Because the methods of data collection varies upon what is measured, NEON faces some challenges that likely do not exist in more self-contained projects.

During this engagement, Trusted CI reviewed the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) for the purpose of developing a security risk assessment and cybersecurity plan, focusing on the Cyber-Infrastructure (CI) and Airborne Observation Platform (AOP) components of the project.
